Op-Ed: Ted Nugent will be 'dead or in jail' if Obama is reelected
Let's see if we can decipher just what washed-up rocker Ted Nugent was talking about when he commented during a radio interview at the recent NRA convention about his future in a second Obama administration.
What do you suppose Mr. Wango Tango meant with this statement?
”If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year.”
It's a multiple choice test, and we've highlighted the correct answer to make it easier.
A. I have a terminal illness, and unless I can steal enough money to afford the drugs I need to stay alive, I guess I'll probably be dead by next April.
B. If Obama is re-elected, I will be so overcome with joy and elation, I may have that heart attack my doctors have been warning me about. Or I'll get so drunk while celebrating, I may drive a car into a school bus full of nuns and orphans and wind up in jail.
C. If Obama is re-elected, I will either be killed in an attempt to murder him, or I will be in jail for attempting to murder him, or I will be in jail for having murdered him.
What's that? You didn't know Mr. Cat Scratch Fever said that?
Easy to understand. We've all been distracted by Hilary Rosen saying Ann Romney never worked a day in her life. No wonder we'd miss a little thing like a hard core Romney supporter threatening to take the life of the lawfully elected President of the United States if he wins re-election.
And that's not all!
”Our government is wiping its a– with the Constitution.” During an on-site interview, he also told the crowd, ”We’ve got four Supreme Court justices who don’t believe in the Constitution. Does everybody here know that four of the Supreme Court justices not only determined you don’t have the right to keep and bear arms, four Supreme Court justices signed their name to a declaration that Americans have no fundamental right to self-defense? That sounds like a stoned hippie. That doesn’t sound like a Supreme Court anything.”
That doesn't sound like anything a rational human being would say.
But don't worry about it. He probably didn't mean anything by it. Maybe it was just a metaphor. Like this, from the same interview.
"If you can't galvanize and promote and recruit people to vote for Mitt Romney, we're done," Nugent said, at one point adding, "We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?"
Love them metaphors. Like when the ’70s guitarist
— who once considered running for governor of Michigan — complained during a concert that "Obama's a piece of sh—, and I told him to suck on my machine gun." He has also called now Secretary of State Hillary Clinton a "worthless b—."
God Bless America! Unless the voters don't see things his way, then we can all suck his machine gun.
