After the family is released from jail they will be deported from the country, according to the lawyer who is representing the family.
According to the New York Times, the family’s lawyer is Muhammad Amir, and he said that the judge sentenced the family because they violated the country’s immigration laws. The judge, Judge Shahrukh Arjumand, also fined each family member around $110. The family will be deported back to their countries by April 15.
According to TodayOnline, the family was credited for time served. They were originally sentenced to 45 days in jail, and they were arrested at the beginning of March. The lawyer does not plan to appeal the court’s decision.
According to the Gulf Times, some sources believe that the country may have wanted a lengthy jail sentence for the five because this could prevent them from talking about their stay in Pakistan.
Some people believe that once the family is outside of Pakistan, they may very well be able to tell others how Bin Laden was able to hide in Pakistan, America’s ally, for many years.
Talat Masood, a retired general in the country’s military, said that the country’s military are certain that America already knows a lot of the facts.
The government and military in Pakistan has said that they have had no links to Osama Bin laden.
