Northwest Arkansas readies for the rumble of Bikes, Blues & BBQ
Thousands of motorcycles, riders and visitors will converge on Northwest Arkansas this week for the 12th annual Bikes, Blues, & BBQ motorcycle rally.
on Digital Journal last year, the 11th annual Bikes, Blues, & BBQ event was a “full-throttle success” with “thousands of motorcycles of every color, shape and size, along with their riders and hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts, arrived in Northwest Arkansas for the 2010 Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally held September 29 - October 2.”
The 12th annual Bikes, Blues, & BBQ begins tomorrow and will run through Oct. 1. Expectations for this year's rally are
"sky high" and once again thousands of motorcycles, riders and visitors are anticipated to converge on Northwest Arkansas.
Due to the success of last year's event, Bikes, Blues & BBQ states
that "we’ve dedicated ourselves to topping it in 2011. A wider variety of music, more venues, more attractions, and more of everything that you’ve come to expect from us!"
The schedule of events is long
and varied and they will take place at a number of venues. The images below from last year's Bikes, Blues & BBQ will give readers a sense of what they can expect to find at this year's event.
In addition to thousands of motorcycles, riders, bands, and crowds on Dickson Street, expect to see the BBQ contest and the newly added high-wire motorcycle thrill show, professional and amateur arena cross at the Springdale Rodeo Arena, and concerts at the Arkansas Music Pavilion including singer Jamey Johnson.
