The deal would add over 700 Miramax titles including "Pulp Fiction" and "Good Will Hunting" to Netflix's ever expanding lineup of titles. Netflix has previously announced streaming deals 20th Century Fox and Lionsgate.
Netflix has seen the popularity of its $7.99 internet streaming become the main source of revenue for Netflix since introducing the plan in 2010. Colin Dixon, a senior partner for the research firm the Diffusion Group said, "What's exciting here is it really reaffirms that the Internet is a serious delivery channel."
Netflix began as a mail-in DVD service, but has said the vast majority of its subscribers stream content on a variety devices such as the Xbox 360, Roku, and Ipad.
