According to Constable Tony Vella, the victim had been in an altercation behind a store in the area. In a phone interview, Vella said the area is lined with store fronts and large apartment buildings.
During the altercation two suspects attempted to put the victim into the trunk of a older, four-door red car but the victim fought back. During the struggle the victim's clothing was removed. The suspects were able to force the man into the back seat of the car. The suspects then fled eastbound on Woolner Avenue.
The victim's clothing left at the scene included:
− blue jeans, waist size 34, leg length 32,
− grey hoodie sweat shirt,
− a white shirt,
− white Nike running shoes, size 9,
− a black leather belt.
"We are hoping that the victim's loved ones will contact police." Vella stated, "The victim is described as 20−30, shoulder−length brown hair. The victim spoke Spanish during the altercation."
