Farting on school bus irritates driver, gets Ohio boy detention
An 11-year-old boy in Ohio gets in trouble after letting one too many farts rip on his school bus. The driver was anything but amused and decided to take swift action to stop any more deadly wind from letting loose out of the boy's nether regions.
The sixth grade student from Thoreau Park Elementary School in Parma, Ohio found himself in detention for an hour when his farting angered his bus driver.
Christian Summers gets away with farting at home, much to his father's amusement, but he has found it will not be tolerated on his school bus.
Since it was Christian's second offense after the bus driver had warned him to stop, he was punished with an hour detention this time.
Christian told the bus driver "it was an accident", after she threatened to "sign him up" for passing gas.
On the detention slip, the bus driver wrote: "Thinks it's funny to pass gas while on the van. I've told him it's not funny, nor polite to the others in the van. While the others scream, he laughs."
If Christian is caught farting on the bus again he could get four or five days of detention next time. His father laughingly said it "depends on how much more gas he has."
The farting boy has to be much more secretive in how he passes gas now. He said: "When I have to pass gas I have to cover myself because it won't stink up the bus."
According to Chicago Tribune
, the assistant principal of the school approved the detention slip from the bus driver.
District spokesman Kevin Brennan emailed Fox 8 News: "Matters involving student discipline are resolved by building administration in accordance with established district guidelines and policies."
Christian's father does not understand why his son would even get written up for farting, let alone be punished for it.
