Sick and tired of losing your money to the vending machine? A company is now testing out a new biometric vending machine that will use your thumbprint instead of your bills or change, according to the New York Daily News.
Next Generation Vending and Food Service is experimenting with about 60 biometric machines in the northeast United States. These machines would link your credit card to your thumbprint. The vending machine scans your thumbprint for your credit card information.
“For a certain demographic that is pretty cool,” said company President John S. Ioannou. He added that the machine is receiving positive feedback.
According to My Fox New York, the company is also testing out different technologies as well. The company is developing a machine with a 46” touch-screen display, which is similar to an iPhone. A customer can click on the screen, rotate the product and review its nutrition content.
