Peters wanted to find a way to give back to his community and the school that he considers the "best thing that ever happened to me." Peters said in a press release that at North Peel he "finally felt like I belonged."
The scholarship worth up to $20,000 is to be used to finance up to three years of college. It is to be given to a graduating student with strong academic standing and attending a college in the fall.
Randy Adams has been accepted into Georgian College's Electrical Engineering Technician program.
With 750 students North Peel is the largest vocational school in Ontario. From auto service to horticulture the school's 20 hands-on programs prepares its students to enter the workplace or secondary education programs.
