In fact this slogan is often posted on the websites encouraging girls not to eat.
Moss was immediately criticized by health experts, campaigners, charities and other models. Most of them described her words as irresponsible, appalling or unfortunate.
Katie Green, former model and campaigner, quoted by the BBC, said:
I think Kate Moss should really have thought before she spoke like most of us do before giving interviews. Kate is a mother herself and how would parents with children suffering from eating disorders feel reading something like this?
Dr Carol Cooper pointed out that Moss, as a role model for young girls, has such an influence on them, that could do a real harm.
Model and campaigner Katie Green, quoted by the Brisbane Times, said:
If you read any of the pro-anorexia websites they go crazy for quotes like these.
Moss's agency stated that her comment has been misrepresented and she doesn't encourage the 'size-zero' lifestyle.
