Tea Party protest sign compares health reform to Holocaust

A large number of Republican congresspeople attended the Tea Party event, including House Minority Leader John Boehner and Minority Whip Eric Cantor, according to Raw Story "National Socialist Health Care: Dachau, Germany -- 1945," read a sign that ThinkProgress' Lee Fang captured on camera. The picture looks to be showing numerous corpses piled on top of each other, presumably a picture taken during the Holocaust. The blogosphere has exploded over the inflammatory poster, with ThinkProgress' Mathew Yglesias saying:

"There are all kinds of nutty people in the world, but these kinds of things are the wages of a conservative leadership and media that’s consistently tried to drum up opposition to health care reform not by opposing things that are actually in the bill, but with demagogic opposition to completely fabricated provisions."

Matt Gertz at media matters went one further, blaming conservative media voices for encouraging this type of discourse saying:

"Fox News owns this sign,"

MediaMatters has closely watched Fox News following Bachmann's announcement of this rally, and accuses the network of promoting, rather than reporting yet again. Fox reported on the protest nine times since October 30th, and streamed video of the event on it's website. Jed Lewison of the Daily Kos wrote "If Republicans wonder why most Americans view them as part of the fringe extreme, they need not look beyond this event,"
