The Internet is a good creation, but unfortunately it also has dangers. Police have given a warning about using the Internet after a teenager was found dead in the Sedgefield area of County Durham.
According to the independent.ie website, the 17-year-old who was recently murdered organised a date with a stranger she met on the Internet.
Detectives are now trying to find the murderer and are interviewing a 32-year-old man in connection with the teenager's death.
The girl's body was discovered in a woodland area on Monday.
Police say it's very important that all people are aware of the dangers of meeting people in person after meeting them online.
The 17-year-old girl's details have not been formally released, though it is known she left home in Darlington on Sunday evening.
