Soltren is alleged to have hijacked a Pam American flight in 1968. He has been a fugitive longer than any other hijacker, according to the FBI.
A warrant for his arrest was issued on December 5, 1968. It has been suspected that he has been hiding out in Cuba.
After four decades his time on the run ended
Sunday at the same airport that he was accused of helping to hijack the Pan Am flight 40 years ago.
Soltren is expected to be arraigned on charges stemming from that hijacking on
Tuesday.
