The promotional sale of the controversial film is on the Israeli daily's home page. It says the film describes ‘The war you don’t know about.’ 72 minutes long, the film explores the alleged existence of an ongoing ‘Cultural Jihad’ in America.

Erik H. Werth is a former policy advisor for Bill Clinton’s administration who later turned to investigative TV documentaries and interviews, notably for Dateline NBC. He was accused of being behind the re-promotion of a controversial 2005 film by Wayne Kopping called ‘Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West’ during the 2008 American election campaign. Those allegations were not proved and controversy still rages over the issue.
The recent film being promoted by Haaretz, ‘The Third Jihad: Radical Islam's Vision for America’ does involve Werth however. He co-produced and co-directed it along with Kopping and Raphael Shore, who helped Kopping with ‘Obsession.’
The film’s promotional site includes a trailer and says that the film is about what it calls “...the existence of Radical Islam in America and the emerging risk that this "homegrown Jihad" poses to national security, western liberties and the "American way of life."
M. Zuhdi Jasser M.D, head of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, is the film’s narrator and his narration begins with the words “"This is not a film about Islam. It is about the threat of Radical Islam. Only a small percentage of the world's 1.3 billion Muslims are radical. This film is about them."
The film goes back to the first Islamic religious war, or Jihad, in 630AD and traces it’s evolution into the second Jihad in 1453AD, according to Haaretz.
The Third Jihad is said to be the one that America faces today.
Using the FBI discovery of a ‘Muslim Brotherhood Memo,’ which is described as a Grand Jihad Manifesto, as part of the basis for its assertions, the film explains what it considers to be an attempt to destroy the USA from the inside by using cultural Jihad in order to install a radical Islamist Theocracy in its place.
Sharia Law (Islamic religious law) concepts are also said to be explored in the film, says Haaretz. The film uses interviews with radical American Muslims and TV footage from Islamic networks to discuss human rights abuses in radical Islamic regimes, most notably the persecution and killing of women, children, homosexuals and Christians in its name.
Recruitment for cultural Jihad in America and the furthering of its aims are said to be going on via the “infiltration” of various sectors of American society, including prisons, mosques, universities and their funding, and media manipulation.
‘The Third Jihad: Radical Islam's Vision for America’ was preview-screened in ten American cities, drawing criticism from both Jewish and Muslim groups and activists.
Haaretz is selling the film for $12.95 instead of it’s ‘regular’ price of $19.95. The price includes what Haaretz says is a copy of the FBI’s ‘Muslim Brotherhood Memo.’
