Convicted swindler Bernie Madoff said he was dying of pancreatic cancer while he serves his sentence in North Carolina. But the Federal Bureau of Prisons said the claim is false.

Madoff was sentenced to 150 years in jail after pleading to swindling more than $65 billion from investors from across the country. There was increased speculation as to why the 71-year-old accepted sole responsibility for the scheme and would not divulge any information.
Recently, Madoff reportedly told prisoners that he is reportedly dying, taking 20 pills a day to get by.
"He talks about it all the time. He's not doing very well," one prisoner said, according to the New York Post. Madoff has also been participating in Native American religious ceremonies and have made friends with the homosexual clique.
There has been no comment from Madoff's attorney or his wife, Ruth.
But the Federal Bureau of Prisons said the claim is false, saying in an email: "Bernie Madoff is not terminally ill, and has not been diagnosed with cancer."
To date, no one else has sought a plea deal or has been found guilty as aiding the convicted felon in the Ponzi scheme.
