NATO Joins Russia In Search For Missing Cargo Ship
NATO has joined the Russian Navy search for the missing cargo ship Arctic Sea. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev ordered his navy to find the ship on Wednesday.

RIA Novosty said NATO and Russia. Russia’s envoy to NATO, Dimitry Rogozin said:
All the exhaustive information, which we do have and which is most likely objective, is instantly reported to the (Russian) naval headquarters.
Speaking of Russian-NATO cooperation, Rogozin added:
As partners, we are currently facing the sole task of sending to the right location and at the right time the forces dispatched by the Russian president.
RIA Novosty also said a tracking device aboard the Arctic Sea was briefly activated on Saturday and the signal showed that the ship was in the Bay of Biscay off France’s Atlantic Coast.

AP news agency meanwhile said Rogozin told a Russian TV station that:
The operation is in full swing and it's unfolding positively. It's giving us reason to hope for success.
AP also confirmed that the Finnish owners of the Artic Sea, which is crewed by 15 Russian nationals, had received a ransom demand.

TAR-TASS, quoted the country's ambassador to Cape Verde, Alexander Karpushkin, as saying submarines, warships, satellites and other search equipment are being utilised to find the missing Russian-crewed ship.
