August 4 is 'A Day Without Megan Fox'

For fear of both overexposure and crossing the line of obsession, popular men's website Asylum has announced plans to not cover any news involving actress Megan Fox for one day, August 4, hereby known as A Day Without Megan Fox.

The website, in a recent blog entry, vowed to post absolutely no news about the Transformers star on the day, and have encouraged other men's interest websites to follow suit.
Have you guys heard of this actress, Megan Fox? She's in the "Transformers" movie and she's super-hot and -- oh, you have heard of her already? Maybe that's because we, the media, have been covering her every weird thumb, geek-shunning, supposed bisexuality, Star Wars-T-shirt wearing, and sexy photo taken.
But on August 4, that all changes, as Asylum bands together with the other manly sites of the Web in an Internet-wide media ban on all things Megan Fox.
The post received an overwhelming response. Many smaller websites, as well as a few major men's interest blogs, have supported and joined the movement since the announcement, as found in a blog update dated yesterday. Furthermore, Asylum have sent out an open call to all of its readership to suggest a "new Megan Fox", ie an attractive female celebrity to invest countless hours of reporting on.
Fox herself is yet to respond to the boycott - and even if she does, rest assured you won't be hearing about it if she does so on August 4th.
