Serial Killing Spree in South Carolina Ends

Police officials confirmed just recently that the gun used in the robbery was indeed the gun used to murder five people in Gaffney, South Carolina over the past week. Early Monday morning, police in Gaston County received a call about an attempted burglary in process. Police investigating found two individuals who lived at the residence in question and a third that was called an acquaintance. Police checked on the third individual's past and found a warrant for his arrest from an unrelated case. When the police when inside again to arrest the man, he pulled a firearm and fired on the police officers. One officer was wounded in the leg and the suspect was killed. The car he was driving, as well as a general description, matched the suspected serial killer's. Starting June 27th, a string of shootings rocked the small town of Gaffney, located about 30 miles from where the suspected killer was shot, and residents were on edge. With the news that the gun used by the suspect matched the murders, the people in the local area can now breathe a sigh of relief.
