The missiles were fired off of its Eastern coast according to a South Korean government official.
Yonhap News
reports:
"North Korea fired two missiles, which appear to be a Scud type, at around 8 a.m. today," the official said, requesting anonymity. "The missiles are estimated to have the range of about 500km."
Hawaii
is about 4,350 miles away from North Korea. Because of the short range of the missiles that were fired it is impossible that Hawaii is the intended target.
It is believed the North Korea has a stockpile of almost 700 Scud missiles.
