Shoplifter Throws Baby To Avoid Capture
In bizarre shop lifting incident a two month old baby was thrown, by his aunt, at security guards in order to avoid capture.

at a Raleigh, TN Wal-Mart. Police say the aunt of a two month old was caught shoplifting. In an attempt to evade capture the suspect attacked a Wal-Mart security guard with a baby carrier that had a the two month old still inside.
During the scuffle the baby fell onto a concrete floor. It's not clear from the article whether or not the child was still in the carrier when it fell. Also caught up in the incident was a good Samaritan at whom the aunt also swung the baby.
Leaving the baby behind, the aunt fled the scene in a blue Ford Escort. Also left behind was the babies mother who was in the bathroom when the incident occurred.
The baby was taken to the hospital and is expected to be alright. The mother has been interviewed by Child abuse investigators to see what if any action needs to be taken. The aunt is still being sought by police. She faces shoplifting and possible assault charges for the attack on the security guard and the good Samaritan.
