The criticisms from the GOP against the newly appointed Supreme Court nominee, Sonia Sotomayor is beginning to make publicity.
Rush Limbaugh lashed out at Sotomayor during his radio broadcast and wants her to fail. Many consider Limbaugh as the real mouthpiece for GOP.
Limbaugh told his audience:
Do I want her to fail? Yeah. Do I want her to fail to get on the court? Yes. She'd be a disaster on the Court.
He also maintained his previous attacks against the President, urging him to fail.
Do I still want to Obama to fail as President? Yeah, -- AP, you getting this? He's gonna fail anyway, but the sooner the better here so that as little damage can be done to the country.
In fact Sotomayor was appointed to the District Court for the Southern District of New York by President H.W. Bush. If Bush had thought she will fail, he wouldn’t have appointed her in the first place. Sotomayor, a Yale and Princeton graduate, graduated top of her class in Princeton.
Comparing Sotomayor and Limbaugh’s educational careers.
Sotomayor earned her B.A.. from Princeton University, graduating summa cum laude in 1976. Sotomayor obtained her J.D. from Yale Law School in 1979, where she was an editor of the Yale Law Journal.
Limbaugh graduated from Cape Central High School, in 1969. His father and mother wanted him to attend college, so he enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University. He dropped out after two semesters and one summer; according to his mother, "he flunked everything", even a modern ballroom dancing class. As she told a reporter in 1992, "He just didn't seem interested in anything except radio."
