Another controversy is brewing with Miss California, Carrie Prejean. Reports now indicate she received free breast implants just before the Miss USA competition, and the bill was picked up by the Californian pageant.

San Diego Christian College prominently featured on its website their student Carrie Prejean - Miss California, Miss USA First Runner-Up.
Carrie Prejean holds the Miss California title, but lost the Miss USA competition to Miss North Carolina supposedly because of her anti-gay views. She is also planning to campaign against “unnatural” gay and lesbian marriages with the National Organization for Women.
Now, Prejean is involved in another controversy: She allegedly got free breast implant surgery, organized and paid fully by Miss California Pageant officials. It was confirmed by pageant officials on Friday.
Keith Lewis, the co-Director of the Miss California Pageant, confirmed this story with CBS’s “The Early Show.”
Lewis told CBS:
"We assisted when Carrie came to us and voiced the interest in having the procedure done...We want to put her in the best possible confidence in order to present herself in the best possible light on a national stage."
Keith Lewis said they agreed to have the procedure done after they found Prejean wasn’t feeling too good about her appearance. So, they decided to boost her confidence by agreeing to get her breast implant surgery.
Maggie Rodriguez, co-anchor of Early Show asked him why he didn’t discourage her (from having the surgery). Keith Lewis replied:
Well, I think that it's about how a woman feels about herself. In terms of, for me, it's not a personal choice that I would recommend. But at the same time, I know so many women that have done the procedure and feel better about themselves and the way they present themselves.
One Huffington Post commenter now asks the following question: "Homosexuality: unnatural. Fake breasts: natural?"
