Op-Ed: FFRF Posts Anti-Religion Billboards in Wichita, KS

Wichita, KS promoting the separation of church and state.
The billboard displays a picture of Darwin and a message that states: "Praise Darwin, Evolve Beyond Belief." The group has plans to post another billboard in Topeka, the capital of Kansas, on Friday.
The second billboard will read, "Imagine No Religion." The organization has placed 30 billboards nationwide and currently has approximately 13,000 members; calling itself the largest association of freethinkers (atheists and agnostics). Their purpose is to promote freethought and separation of church and state.
It seems bold to place a billboard of this nature in a state that is considered part of the Bible belt. Although, I assume that is exactly the effect the FFRF was going for. They want a bold message to cause some controversy because controversy will result in media attention.
Their website says their goal is to educate the public on the constitutional principle of separation of church and state; however all I see when I look at this billboard is a group of atheists taking a stab at Christianity. After reading through many comments from readers on the article on the Wichita Eagle's website; the readers seem divided on the billboard.
Some readers are more offended by the Christianity sign outside of Emporia that reads something along the lines of, "Accept Jesus and be forgiven or regret it later." The FFRF does have every right to post their beliefs; but my question is how will such a conservative state take these beliefs and bold moves? Will Kansans turn the other cheek or take an eye for an eye?
