Op-Ed: Google, Internet Searches Damn US Gov't, Press on Roxana Saberi

Posted Mar 20, 2009 by Johnny Simpson
As you may know, I have been quite loud and harsh over our government and media's disappearing act on Roxana Saberi. Yet nothing I ever say could damn them more than their low Google hits and bare Internet search results. Somebody has to cover this story.

Roxana Saberi, free lance journalist for the BBC, Fox News, National Public Radio and other Western news outlets, has been arrested in Iran, her father confirms.
Latest Update to the Roxana Saberi Hostage Crisis, Week Two and Counting.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
I don't have to say anything here at all, people. Just look at the search results and you tell me.
A Google search of "Roxana Saberi" turned up a whopping 72 new hits in 24 hours. The variant, 'Roxana Saberi' elicited 50.
A Search of the Department of State's main page revealed no sign of Roxana Saberi's existence. In fact, neither did a search of State's main Iran page. There was, however, a marking of the two-year anniversary since American Robert Levinson disappeared during a business trip to Iran.
But why no mention of Roxana Saberi? She should be State's top priority! We KNOW where she is!
To paraphrase Jon Stewart and State's motto, "Diplomacy Inaction."
Now onto the White House. Main page. Not one mention of Roxana Saberi! On to Congress. Main page. Not one mention of Roxana Saberi! As to the Invisible Press?
72 new hits on Google for "Roxana Saberi" in 24 hours. And most of 'em are probably mine!
By the way, here's all the contact info. For two straight weeks now. Getting very impatient, people!
Here's the White House. Here's the State Department. Here's Congress. Oh, and see if you can wake up the New York Times, CNN, FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, and AP, too.
Good luck with all that. They seem to be snoozing pretty hard!
I have to tell you, Dear Readers, this mass willful ignorance of Roxan Saberi is really starting to get to me.
THIS JUST IN! President Obama sent a video message to Iran urging 'a new beginning'.
I believe Iran giving us back Roxana Saberi would be a VERY good place to start. Don't YOU? By the way, here's some REAL reporting on Roxana Saberi and today's Iran. Somebody's gotta do it!
Just be warned. Much of it is extremely graphic. But that is because today's Hitlerite Thugocracy in Iran is an extremely graphic place. You know. Curious. I wonder what the Iranian Thugocracy's film industry is doing with that Obama video now? You know, the guys Team Oscar gave film seminars to?
Their Propaganda Film Stooge work should shine now, huh?
Make those US president-stabbing puppet shows for the kiddies look like DreamWorks!
Nothing's changed under Obama, people! To them, the Great Satan is just under new management! That's it! Are you getting any idea now of who it is we're dealing with here? And have been for thirty long years?
Sorry to burst your bubbles, people. Had to be done. Welcome to the Club.
THIS JUST IN VIA BREITBART: Iran has responded to President Obama's peaceful overtures! Hooray!
Uh oh. Wait a minute. I think a feel a punking coming on.
Iran played down President Barack Obama's new video message to the Iranian people on Friday, saying it welcomed the overtures but warned that decades of mistrust can't easily be erased.
Now THAT'S Comedy!
First priority for everyone. Get Roxana Saberi the HELL out of that Tehran hellhole and back home. Her parents must be worried sick. From what I know about Iran's Thugocracy now, I'm worried sick, too.
BRING ROXANA SABERI HOME!!!
