The Alaska Personnel Board investigator assigned to look into 'Troopergate', Timothy Petumenos, found no probable cause that Palin violated the state's ethics law. This is contrary to the legislative investigation which concluded she had.
A statement released by the bi-partisan personnel board stated, "There is absolutely no evidence to support a finding of probable cause for violation of the executive ethics act, as it regards Governor Palin."
A separate earlier investigation by the Legislative Council and an independent investigator, Stephen Branchflower, found that Palin had violated ethics laws.
The ruling effectively makes both sides in the case one for two.
