Sony Issues Vaio TZ Laptop Recall
Sony is recalling 73,000 Vaio TZ laptops because of a defect that may cause overheating. On Thursday the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said that the problem deals with wiring near the computer's hinge.
One person has had a minor burn because of the defect.
Sony has also received 15 other complaints about computers overheating.
The models that are affected are: VGN-TZ100, VGN-TZ200, VGN-TZ300 and VGN-TZ2000. Not every laptop in these series have been affected though.
Sony is asking clients to contact the company to see if their computer is part of the recall. Those with recalled computers are asked to stop using it immediately.
