Gas prices may be hitting record highs and job losses in the auto manufacturing sector mounting but GM pushes on. The company
has revealed its plans to build the Chevrolet Camaro 2010 in Canada.
This can be billed as The Return of the Camaro as the muscle car was retired in 2002.
The car will be put together in Oshawa, Ontario and is reputed to get nine litres per 100 kilometers so buyers will surely be lining up. Look for it in showrooms near you, next year.
The eager buyer will have several options: Camaro with V-6, 3.6-litre engines in its LS and LT models, along with V-8-powered, 6.2-litre engines in its SS model.
GM is tagging this vehicle as the "fun, efficient sports car for the 21st century," and hopes the new
Camaro will appeal to enthusiasts and younger buyers.
Is GM onto something or are they driving off the deep end?
