The man brandishing a knife confronted the 30-year-old mother and her baby as she was walking along a corridor in her apartment building in Tokyo. The man demanded money and when she said she had none, the thief barged into her apartment. Without showing any fear or panic outside, she tried to calm the thief and prepared a cup of tea for him. When she offered the tea, the thief put the knife away and began to chat with her for nearly 20 minutes. The woman gave the man 10,000 Yen ($93.15) and the man fled the scene. She reported this incident to the police, who are pursuing the individual.
