Today, with a growing sense of environmental degradation and the advent of the global warming crises, more and more emphasis is being laid to develop alternate sources of power, around the world.
One such possibilty is the development of solar uniforms for soldiers in the battlefield who at the moment, are forced to drag around heavy pieces of equipment like batteries to power their radios, phones and other necessities.
The Uniforms will come fitted with solar panels which rely on thin, flexible elongated solar cells and could potentially be fitted onto helmets, uniforms or radios.

According to Skryabin, the problem facing the modern defence force at the moment is over-reliance on batteries. Soldiers are equipped with lots of electronic devices. While you can transmit data wirelessly, you cannot transmit energy wirelessly, he added (ANI)
Many countries, like Australia and the US have already felt the need for this technology and have set forth to incorporate it into their uniforms soon.
An average US soldier needs 88 AA batteries for a five day mission. With the help of these uniforms he'll be able to handle missions way more effectively.
