This annual contest was hosted by Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com and Charmin, a toilet paper company. The judges from these three companies chose six wedding dresses from a number of entries, which were then displayed at the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum at New York’s Times Square.
Among the six, three dresses were chosen today and a winner was
selected from this final group. Katrina Chalifoux of Rockford, Illinois, received the top prize of $1,000.
According to Reuters, Katrina spent two weeks to create a sheath dress with a raised flower pattern from molded toilet paper.
Terro Glover of Marlin, Texas was the second-prize winner and Ann Lee, of Honolulu, Hawaii placed third in the annual dress competition.
The group started this competition four years ago.
Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com has its own toilet paper wedding dress competition. Katrina also participated in it and she came in second in that competition. You can see the proud winners in the above link.
