Many of us wouldn’t mind seeing animation on websites but when we are in a rush and trying to find the results quickly, we don’t want the animation to last forever. Although many Flash-based animation programs have the skip button, in some cases it is hard to find it. Google wants to help us avoid this introduction page with the “Skip Intro” feature.

For example, when we search for a specific item in Google, it gives us the main page of the company. But when we click the main link there will be this dreaded 3D animation video on some sites. Google, besides giving the main links and OneBox results (with related links under the main link), now provides us with another button “Skip Intro”. When we click this “Skip Intro” button, Google will skip that page and take it to the next one.

Here is one example: if you search for Yuasa France in Google, you will get an animation as the main page. To skip this and to go directly to the next page, click the “Skip Intro” link (shown in the picture next to the search results), and you will be led to http://www.yuasa.fr/index.htm.
