Troy, PA - Troy police say that Kevin Michael Vanzile, 18, who is not a student in the Troy School District boarded a stopped school bus on King Street. In front of the students on the bus, he threatened to come back and shoot a 17-year old.

"He threatened the person with a pistol but what we gathered at this time there was no pistol on him."-said Troy Police Chief Kyle Wisel.

Police did search Vanzile's home and the only gun that they found was a BB gun.

Parents in the Troy community are very upset that they were not notified of this gun threat until Friday. The School District Superintendent, Bob Grantier defended his stance saying they didn't send out letters to parents about the incident because this was an incident between two individuals. But...if there had been a school-wide threat, then the parents would have been promptly notified.

Thursday, Vanzile was arraigned in Bradford County Court and posted $20,000 bail. He's facing charges including unauthorized school bus entry, intent to terrorize another and harassment which he will face in court next month.
