Ft. Lauderdale, FL - 49-year old Stephen Sticht was
not charged after chasing the five homeless men with his chainsaw. Instead, he was ordered to stay away from the men and give up his chainsaw.
The men told the police that Strict had chased them with the chainsaw
through fields and over railroad tracks. They also claim he fired shots at them.
Sticht denies the claims. He says the chainsaw is to cut down brush where the men rest. He also says they were upset after he called police to complain about homeless men loitering near his home and business.
Records show that in 1999 Strict chased someone else with a chainsaw and was
charged with trespassing with a weapon. The homeless men also have criminal records.
All go to court April 17th.
