Russian one stray dog apparently was barking up the wrong tree. The hapless stray wandered into a parkland in the center of Lazo, which happens to be a village in the Maritime Territory. While he was touring the park and sniffing his way about, this dog noticed a few squirrels hiding in branches. What did he do? Well he did want any dog would do. He barked and barked.
What did the squirrels do? They acted like a pack of dogs and ganged up against this unsuspecting mutt and “literally gutted” him. This drew some attention to a few men who happened to be in the park. By the time they got there, it was too late. The dog was torn to shreds and the squirrels took off making certain that their chops were full with pieces of their latest kill.
The next question would be to ask is, “Why?” According to “Mikhail Tiyunov, a scientist in the region, who has never heard of such a thing said “While squirrels without sources of protein might attack birds' nests, the idea of them chewing a dog to death was "absurd".
"If it really happened, things must be pretty bad in our forests," he added.”
Mikhalish a man who lives in Lazo said there had been "no pine cones at all" in the local forests this year.
"The little beasts are agitated because they have nothing to eat," he added.
Another fellow by the name of Komosmolskaya Pravda included another strange occurrence, which happened in the fall. According to him, a group of chipmunks terrorized a few of the neighbourhood cats in that same part of that territory.
If you're a stray and happen to find yourself travelling through Russia, I suggest that you carry plenty of pine cones. And if you should happen to come across a few squirrels, best to keep your trap shut. The life you save might be your own.
