David Sneath of Livonia Michigan has been employed by Ford Motor Co. as a warehouse hi-lo driver. He is quiting his job and has submitted his retirement paperwork.

When asked what does he plan to do with his money he said he may buy a cottage on a lake in Northern Michigan, a couple of fishing boats and may have laser surgery to correct his vision.

Even though the winning ticket was not bought by a lottery club he belongs to he plans to give $1 million to each of the other members of the club.

He said
"I'm still going to be frugal."

Sneath is taking his winnings in a lump-sum payout. He will get $84.3 million but after taxes the amount that he gets will be $59.6 million.

He said
"I can't comprehend this yet. It's too much"

He also added that the last couple days have been like
"an out-of-body experience."

It was reported by freep.com on April 4 that Sneath had said ""I've worked for Ford for 34 years, but I won't be buying a Ford product."

In today's freep.com it says that Sneath was quoted incorrectly. What he had said was he would not be buying a "foreign product" The Free Press and the Associated Press had misunderstood him.

Sneah said in clarifying the quote

"I worked 34 years for them; I'm not going to turn my back on them,"

What he is planning on buying is a Lincoln Navigator for himself, a Ford Explorer for his 22 year old son and a Ford for his ex-wife.

He also added that he might get back together with his ex-wife as he said

"I love that girl."
