PARIS - This weekend, the grandfather of the dead child came across the
infant's body in the couple's freezer, in the north-west region of Brittany.
The mother of the deceased infant said that she had the baby last July, and
could not remember what had happened to the baby. The husband claims he did not know his wife had been pregnant.
The post-mortem autopsy hints that the baby died soon after it was born.
Prosecutor Marie-Sophie Monet said,
"There were signs it had been hit ... and there were signs of strangulation."
Earlier this month, it was ordered that another French woman, Veronique Courjault will be standing trial for strangling three babies that she had given birth to -- one in France and two in South Korea.
Then, in August 2007, the bodies of three newborn babies were found in the house of a woman in south eastern France. That following October,
the bodies of six newborn babies were discovered in [a] town in the north of France.
