Whether or not this is true, the National Enquirer has stated on their website, that the Ghost and Dirty Dancing star is suffering from Pancreatic Cancer and his doctor’s give him only 5 weeks to live. It seems that treatment has not diminished the size of the tumour and his doctor's will only give him two more chemo sessions. Apparently this awful disease has spread to other areas of his body as well

Swayze, 55, is best known for dancing his way into the hearts of millions in the 1980’s film Dirty Dancing and who can forget the potter’s wheel seduction of Demi Moore in Ghost? Swayze is an accomplished dancer who training began in ballet while attending the Harkness Ballet School, the Joffrey Ballet School, and San Jacinto College. His mother Patsy Swayze is an accomplished choreographer who has always encouraged her son to follow his love of dance.

According to his bio some of his other accomplishments include 3 Golden Globe nominations, was offered 6 million dollars to reprise his dance instructor role from Dirty dancing but turned it down, both he and his wife are accomplished pilots, he has been People Magazines Most Sexiest Man alive (1991) and one of People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People (1991). He has been known as the "Sleeper" for having a wavering career until Ghost and Dirty Dancing hit box office payloads.
He currently has two films in production for 2008 and has starred in many, many, more.

The National Enquirer will feature a full-length article in the next few days.

While writing this, I was very skeptical of posting because of the controversy it could cause and also the dubious nature of the source. I sincerely hope this is not just fodder for the rag mag as I would feel just horrible if this exclusive turns out to be false and even more horrible if indeed it pans out.

Either way it is so sad.

On the one hand it could be true… on the other hand, the magazine could be reporting a falsehood bringing integrity to the fore front.
I struggle with both possibilities and I suppose over the next little while the truth will come out.

I hope Swayze can debunk this story and wish nothing but the best for him and his family.
