The following is the storm warning we are receiving. It is capitalized as that is how it comes. The snow is light for now but the schools are closed.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CURRENTLY PASSING JUST SOUTH OF NEW BRUNSWICK WILL CONTINUE TRACKING NORTHEASTWARD TO LIE OVER THE GULF OF ST LAWRENCE THIS AFTERNOON. JUST NORTH OF THE LOW A WINTERY MIX OF SNOW FREEZING RAIN AND ICE PELLETS HAS BEEN OBSERVED, WHILE FURTHER NORTH THE PRECIPITATION HAS FALLEN AS SNOW. IN GENERAL 10 TO 20 CENTIMETRES OF SNOW HAS ACCUMULATED

The City does a great job at snow removal but this year the falls have been so regular that there are snow mounds all around.

The annual Snow Fest was last weekend and there was no shortage of snow which made for excellent conditions for making snow sculptures which, for the first time were located around town.

One of the aspects of living here that I enjoy the most is being close to Nature, you do not have to leave town or stray that far from your front door to be near a little wildness.

If local legends hold true there will be one more major storm on St. Patrick's Day and if we have not yet broken a snow fall record we may well do so then.
