A van with Canadian plates sits in a store parking lot and soon it came to the notice of security personnel that patrol the store parking area, via a vehicle, that it has not been moved in some time. A note is left on the windshield requesting the owner to remove it.

Then more time passes and several more notes are left for the owner on the vehicle.

Still it sat unmoved.

It sat for an estimated two to three days before being brought to the the attention of store personnel to see about having it removed after getting no response from it's owner.

C&M Towing was called to remove the van and a tow-truck driver, Eric Prumley, arrived a the Wal-Mart lot Saturday morning during a hard storm to load the van and take it to a storage facility.

As reported on the Ocala.com website Eric Prumley is said to have had a hard time seeing through the rain downfall so he took his flashlight and shined it into the vehicle and didn't see anything odd at the time.

While the van was being unloaded at the storage area a "heavy smell" was noticed.

"I thought there was a body or something inside so I called my supervisor and he told me to call the Ocala Police Department," said Mr. Prumley.

The police arrived and opened the vehicle to find a man lying on a fold-down bed seat with a blanket covering him, deceased.

"I've never had anything like this," Mr. Prumley said.

The police were able to contact family members who identified the man as Emeric Brinskelle, 71, of Stemarie, Ontario, Canada.

The police at this time believe he died in his sleep from natural causes as he suffered no obvious injuries, though due to the circumstances the Medical Examiner's Office in Leesburg will be doing an autopsy.

So far it is unknown just why Mr. Brinskelle was in Ocala though family members did tell the police he did have some property in the Williston, FL. area which is about a 30 minute drive from the area he was found in.

A sad occurrence, you never know just what can happen.
