Academy award actor Heath Ledger was found Tuesday, January 22 at his downtown Manhattan residence. Police say that it was possibly a drug-related death and not a murder.

According to Paul Browne, the spokesman for the NYPD, Heath Ledger had an appointment to have a massage at the apartment that was believed to be his residence.

However, the housekeeper went to inform Ledger that the masseuse discovered his dead body at almost 3:30 PM.

Heath Ledger is one of several famous actors from Australia. He has a long list of screen credits and got an Oscar nomination for “Brokeback Mountain.” Ledger died at 28 years of age.
