This little girl is believed to have been between the ages of 2 and 3 years old when she was found October 29, 2007 on a remote island in the area of West Bay, several miles west-southwest of the Galveston, Texas causeway. This area she was found in, by a fisherman, is accessible only by boat.
The fisherman discovered a Sterilite brand of storage container with what he rightly thought to be human remains inside and contacted the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.
Sketches of what Baby Grace may have looked like along with what she was wearing were made by a Houston Police Department forensic artist and were released to the public in an effort to find out who she is.
She was 2-3 years old with long blond hair that reached the middle of her back, was 32 to 34 inches in height and was a small framed little girl they estimate at weighing between 25 to 30 pounds.
The pink top and matching "broom" style skirt she was wearing are both by the brand name Cherokee and sold in Target stores. Her
shoes were (pdf file) size 8 1/2, white with purple accents, Velcro type closure tennis shoes that have light up heels and made by Athletic Works model named Tiara.

An preliminary autopsy has been performed and it is estimated the child was 2-3 years old from dental records and that she had been dead for at least
two weeks at the time she was found.
Her cause of death has not been confirmed, but she was found to have had multiple fractures of the skull by the county Medical Examiner's Office and this together with the manner in which she was found is why this is being treated as a homicide.
She was found in a container identical to this one that was blue in color and had black handles.
DNA has been taken to see if they can find a match to Grace in any of the current missing children's cases in Texas and the results are expected to be in within two weeks.
The Galveston County Sheriff's Office can be contacted at their tip line 866-248-8477 or 409-766-2222 with any information regarding this child.
The FBI is also involved in this case and has posted a
$20,000 reward for information that leads to her identity. If you have any information
their website says you can contact the l
local FBI office in your area or the nearest
American embassy or consulate.
A web site for baby Grace has been set up
here.
Someone somewhere knows who this child is. All I ask is that the DJ community step up and post, send copies, e-mail everyone they know to pass her story around until who she is and what happened to her is found.
