Woman May Have Scattered Ashes At Disneyland

Posted Nov 16, 2007 by Chris V. Thangham
A woman was spotted dumping a white powder at Disneyland on Friday. Some wonder she may have dropped ashes of a loved one. Workers at Disney had to shut down the parks briefly because of this incident.
Last Friday, Disney theme park workers spotted a woman dumping some white powder into the water of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride. So, they shut down the ride to check it out whether it posed any dangers, and after inspecting it they cleared it and quickly reopened the ride. Though they spotted her, they were unable to verify with the woman what she dropped into the ride.
Quickly this news was on the blogs and some had reported it that the woman may have scattered the human ashes. The blogs also say it happens frequently at Disney’s theme parks.
Disneyland denied that it occurs frequently. They said some of the visitors have asked their permission to scatter the ashes, but they have always refused them. The park officials said it will be difficult to find out what exactly the powder was or it belonged to someone’s remains.
I think some are taking it too far by dropping ashes at a public place like Disney’s. I understand if it is Walt Disney's ashes, he gave heart and soul for it, but fans should find some other place to dump their ashes.
