Germany's E.ON acquires full control of Italy's Dalmine Energie
German energy concern E.ON said Tuesday that it has acquired full control of Italian energy trader Dalmine Energie.
E.ON held 75 per cent of the Italian company, following a takeover in December 2006.
E.ON Sales & Trading GmbH purchased the remaining 25 per cent stake from Luxembourg concern Tenaris, the company said in a statement.
The acquisition allows E.ON to expand its local presence and increase its range of products, the statement added.
Based in the northern city of Dalmine, the Italian company provided 1,800 companies and private households with 3 billion kilowatt hours of electricity and almost 11 billion kilowatt hours of gas in 2006.
