OJ Simpson Named As Suspect In Casino Break In

Las Vegas Nevada police have issued a statement regarding the recent break in at the Palace Station Casino indicating the OJ Simpson is a prime suspect.

The break in was reported late Thursday evening. Apparently a room in the casino housed numerous pieces of sports memorabilia.

O.J. Simpson, once famous NFL football star and Heisman Trophy winner, is now better known for the infamous white bronco chase and subsequent murder trial of his wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman back in 1994. Although acquitted of the murder charges, many still believe that Simpson was indeed the killer, and got away with murder.

Although Simpson won the court case, he lost the civil suit filed by the Goldman family, and as a result owes 33.5 million of dollars in damages.

Simpson has subsequently been forced to sell off any sports memorabilia he owned in an effort to make restitution. When questioned by authorities regarding the Palace Station break in Simpson told investigators that he believed the stolen sports collectibles were his.

Simpson made headlines earlier this year regarding a reported special which would air on Fox entitled "If I Did It" which was based upon the book Simpson had written. The book apparently was O.J.'s take on how he would have committed the murders had he in fact been guilty of the crime. The deal with the publisher as well as Fox eventually fell through and the program never aired.

The Goldman family then purchased the rights to the manuscript, and released it September 13th under a new title - "If I Did It: Confessions Of A Killer".

Investigators in the casino case are expected to turn over their report to prosecutors today, and the District Attorney will determine if charges will be filed.

Simpson's attorney Yale L. Galanter could not be reached for comment.

Geez, OJ must really be losing it - to be so crazy as to break in to hotel rooms to steal collectibles. I mean seriously, who could he ever sell them to? They would be totally identifiable. This guy is just whack if he did, in fact, commit this ridiculous crime.......
