Not only are power outages a concern for Californians, but the high temperatures have also led to heat related deaths.

An 81-year-old hiker ran out of water while in Riverside County; heat exhaustion and dehydration are said to be the causes of the hikers death.

The heat has also been assumed to play the role in two separate plane crashes leading to two deaths. Officials say the heat caused the air to be too thin for enough lift during take off.

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection has been on the look-out for wild fires, but has not spotted any dangers at this point in time.
