Los Angeles - Please stop me from saying this.... "Only in America you say." OK just did.... (it could happen anywhere)
The co-founder of the corporation Broadcom Corp is under investigation in a federal stock options probe, court documents are also stating that he
was accused seven years ago of building an underground hideaway at his estate to indulge in drugs and sex with prostitutes
The complaint was lodged against the Ex - CEO Henry Nicholas because the billionaire refused to pay his construction bill. Going so far as to threaten the workers, while trying to manipulate them into completing the work.
Apparently Nicholas had a penchant for drugs and prostitutes. In another article by the
Post Chronicle it is claimed that
"He provided his guests with transportation and cocaine, Ecstasy, methamphetamines, marijuana, mushrooms, and nitrous oxide [laughing gas]".
This work was done from 1998 to 2002 and although the original complaint was resolved, this new complaint was attached in 2005 by a man seeking a larger settlement.
Some of the allegations were similar to those made by former Nicholas employee Kenji Kato, who claimed Nicholas took cocaine, ecstasy and heroin and hired prostitutes for clients. Kato, who said he served as Nicholas' bodyguard and personal assistant for seven years, is seeking $3 million plus damages for his resignation due to what he says was a hostile workplace.
Yeah I bet it was hostile environment *chuckle*...can you imagine working for this guy??
And yet somehow, he managed to keep it secret from his wife, neighbours and city officials.
OK I get lying to the neighbours, after all it really is none of their business, but how could his wife miss this one? Didn't she care about what was going on in and under her own house? I wonder what she thought was being built... hmmmm.
Nicholas's lawyer Steven Silverstein has characterized Kato's claims as an extortion attempt and said of the construction crew complaint, "all of the allegations are denied."
Extortion alright!! But what about his nasty habits??
And the illegal rooms and tunnels? Didn't the city take issue to all this? Didn't he need to get work permits?? Was there no fine issued?
Makes me shake my head! Stupid is as stupid does I guess, no matter if they have money or not!
Bet he thought this story would quietly disappear!
