XBOX Live Marketplace Goes WorldWide
Microsoft is planning to expand their successful XBOX Live Marketplace Worldwide to countries including Canada to provide HDTV and Movie downloads. Will they be able to carry out the service worldwide?
Today, Microsoft has unveiled that they will expand their XBOX Live Marketplace program which as been extremely successful in the United States. The service has for along time been a major disadvantage for those out of the region.
For awhile a lot of people were making 'fake' accounts on XBOX Live to get access to US content however Microsoft began to ban accounts used for this purpose and everyone was told they couldn't buy videos from Microsoft anymore. The feedback has been massive regard this from Canadian customers because we are lacking digital downloads.
It looks like Microsoft will deliver and take the effort to work with Canadian content owners to get access to videos for access to make this go live. This is likely how it will work with the other countries, but chances are that these will hit countries in order of how they got XBOX Live access (sorry India).
Hopefully, Microsoft comes through with this and that Canadians (as well as others) will be able to go online and download an HD copy of the Heroes season premiere come late September.
