The lucky boy, who is thought to be about 11 years old was picked up by the RAF rescue helicopter after he had been reported to the Thames Coastguard to have been swept out to sea. off the coast of Wells-Next-the-Sea.

He is now recovering in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he is in a serious condition, but lucky to be alive.

The boy, who is thought to be involved in the Tamil festival near by was found off the coast of Wells-Next-the-Sea, after lifeboats and helicopters joined in the massive search.

In the original report of the boy going missing, it was though that there were two youngsters in the choppy waters.

The other boy had been rescued by a local person, but when he went back to find the other child, he saw he had been swept out too far out.

Due to the sudden warm weather in the UK, many people decided to take to the sea. Around 40,000 people attended the festival that day. Since the amount of heavy rain that has been affecting the country, people and families were out to make the most of the brighter weekend.

The weather is set to turn again in the UK as from tomorrow bringing in a new wet weather front across the country for the rest of the week ahead.
