While the western provinces have been spared, the rest of us will need to shell out more for our coffee, Timbits or bagels. All this starting next week.

Tim's spokesperson Rachel Douglas says that each region is continually evaluated and an assessment is done. While the western provinces felt the crunch last October, it's now time for the rest of us to pay for the high cost of doing business as we have been paying the same prices since 2004.

"It has to do with the profitability of any given product in that region," she said

For example, while Manitobans will have to pay more for their cup o' joe, Ontarians will just have to pay more for their beloved Timbits and bagels.

The price hike will impact not only the consumer but possibly the tip jar for the employees as well. Last time there was a price hike, it took a while for the tips to get rolling again.

Even with the price increase, Tim's coffee is still cheaper than Starbucks and tastes way better to me!
