Trend spotting, Google-style

Google today introduced an other tool for those who want to know what others are looking for.
Tuesday, May 22nd, Google has added a near-real-time "what term is the most popular being searched for" top ten list to their Google Trends offering.
The new tool filters out "adult" content from the results, as well as popular celebrity names that are always getting searches. Clicking on any of the linked terms will bring up a time graph of search term frequency, links to related news stories, blog posts and web results.
This is a great tool for those trying to come up with good topics for Digital Journal stories. Also fantastic resource for pop-culture watchers.
