The French take top honors for being the biggest whiners in the workplace. They are followed by workers in Britain, Sweden, United States of America, and Australia. These are the top five unhappiest workers in the world. The study, "What Workers Want, A Worldwide Study of Attitudes to Work and Work-Life Balance", published by FDS research group asked 14,000 workers in 23 countries how satisfied they were with their pay, working hours, and work-life balance. The chief of FDS, Charlotte Cornish, was surprised to find that Americans were fourth on the list of the biggest whiners. Americans make the most money of anyone else in the world, but yet they are so unhappy and want far more than what they have.

Compare them to Thai workers: while real levels of income are more than eight times higher in the States, more workers in the US feel their pay is a problem than in Thailand"

Cornish also said,

The UK and US, with their marked competitive individualism and unequal wealth distribution, both appear towards the top of the world's list of (whiny) workers."

The happiest workers are those in the Netherlands, Thailand, and Ireland. While Japan and Germany workers deal with low morale concerning their jobs, they do not complain and whine like some of the other workers in other countries do.
